Main Function

Total care of your Guests, their possessions, and their cabin if needed in an unobtrusive manner demonstrating discreet, genuine hospitality.

Total cleanliness of the areas indicated by the Housekeeper (eventually in the cabin, the bathroom and the balcony)

Qualifications

Good oral English (working & Safety language of the Company).

A welcoming, friendly and helpful attitude.

Tact and diplomacy.

The ability to deal with occasional difficult situations or complaints.

The ability to work efficiently under pressure.

The ability to work as part of a team.

Certificates

National Seaman's Book

Basic Safety Training Certificate including Swimming & Rowing

Security Awareness Training for all seafarers

Crowd and Crisis Management and Human Behavior

Medical certificate including Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Test

Vaccination certificates (Covid-19, Yellow fever, MMRV)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for maintaining constantly restocked the Cabin Steward section of clean material (accordingly to the Company standards), making sure that there is never any excess of dirt material in the trolley and/or corridors, or left attempted.

Taking part in (and understanding) any duties or activities to control any illness outbreaks among Guests and / or Crew.

Read, understand and follow the Standard Procedure of MSC that tells you – step by step – how and when to clean and sanitize the areas in your assigned section, and to provide professional, caring and safe service to Guests.
