Maritime Security Personnel – Recruitment, Vetting & Deployment
Our maritime security personnel are selected through a structured recruitment, screening and deployment process designed to ensure that every candidate meets the professional, regulatory and operational requirements of the assignment.
Following a successful interview, candidates are required to submit a complete set of personal, professional, medical and security-related documentation. All documentation must be valid, authentic and issued by the relevant competent authorities or appropriately accredited training institutions.
Candidate Documentation & Certification
Depending on the position, vessel type and operational requirements, the documentation package may include:
- Valid travel passport
- National Seaman’s Book
- Military discharge documentation or evidence of military or law-enforcement service
- STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate
- Ship Security Officer (SSO) or Designated Security Duties (DSD) Certificate
- Crowd & Crisis Management Certificate – required for assignments on passenger vessels
- Firearms Qualifications – required for armed assignments.
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) / Combat Trauma Certification – required for armed assignments.
- Police Clearance / Certificate of Criminal Record
- Mental Health / Psychiatric Assessment
- Seafarer Medical Fitness Certificate and required medical examinations
- Drug & Alcohol Test
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
- MMR Vaccination Documentation – required for assignments on passenger vessels.
- Recent passport-size photograph
All maritime training certificates must be issued by appropriately accredited training institutions and comply with applicable international maritime standards, flag-state requirements and client-specific procedures.
Professional & Security Vetting
Prior to deployment, candidates undergo a comprehensive document verification and suitability assessment.
Particular attention is given to the authenticity and validity of submitted documentation, relevant operational experience, professional qualifications and compliance with the requirements established by the employer.
Additional screening or documentation may be required depending on the vessel, flag, route, operational profile and level of security risk.
